ENGINEERS LEAD THE WAY!
ANNOUNCEMENTS a/o 30 October 2024
NOTAM!!! 9 Airmen Engineers are scheduled for dental appointments at the DC Armory on Saturday, 2 November, with times set for 0700 or 0800. These members will report directly to their scheduled appointment and return to the squadron immediately afterward. For the list of names, please refer to the Medical Requirements page.
As we resume our regular drill routines following the Combat Readiness Exercises and Inspection, it is essential to refocus on completing any outstanding administrative tasks, training, and medical requirements. Priority areas include overdue EPBs/OPBs, e-certification for orders, updates to SGLI, vRED, and AFPAAS, submission of overdue dental forms, and fulfillment of the annual SAPR/SP, and TAFT requirements. Ensuring these are completed will help us maintain readiness and remain fully prepared for future missions.
It is election season and this is a reminder for all personnel on the do's and don't of political activity on various duty status. For more information, please see the guidance at the bottom of this page.
On 4 April 2024, the rewrite of the DCANGI 36-2502, ENLISTED AIRMAN PROMOTION PROGRAM, and updated DCANG Form 1, PROMOTION RECOMMENDATION FORM (MSgt – CMSgt) was released. These documents can be reviewed on the 113 CES Dashboard.
All E1-E6 promotion packages are due to the Senior Enlisted Leader for concurrence in order to obtain the Commander's consideration for approval at least five (5) duty days prior to the first and fifteenth of each month.
The Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) implemented the Uniformed Services Identification Card (USID) online renewal process. This new process enables service members to conveniently renew their dependent’s ID cards online, eliminating the need to visit a physical ID Card Office. Sponsors can easily begin this process by visiting the USID website with their CAC at https://idco.dmdc.osd.mil/idco/.
All personnel must report their unofficial foreign travel to their security officials at least 30 days prior to or as soon as you know of a trip using the new ANG Foreign Travel Reporting Form located on the 113 CES Dashboard. Please contact the Unit Security Manager for any additional questions.
Airmen Engineers authorized RSD lodging must make their reservation on the Lodging Force website for the next upcoming RSD before the end of the current RSD. If for any reason an Airman Engineer is not attending an RSD and/or Rescheduled Drill (RD), it is still their responsibility to cancel the reservation 72 hours prior to check-in. Additionally, if an Airman Engineer is approved to perform an RD and authorized lodging, their deadline to secure a lodging reservation is 10 days prior to whatever date that they are scheduled to perform their RD.
The next RSD is 7-8 December 2024. The full FY25 schedule can be viewed on 113 CES Dashboard.
Any RSD excusal request must be submitted at a minimum of 30 days prior to the Commander for consideration/approval.
AFI 1-1, Air Force Standards, paragraph 1.7.1., cites the chain of command provides the command, control, and communication necessary to accomplish the mission. Each level in the chain is responsible for all lower levels, and accountable to all higher levels. The chain cannot work without loyalty to every level. Loyalty up and down the chain makes a system efficient and effective. Everyone is a part of, and subject to, the chain of command and must use it properly. The key principle is to resolve problems and seek answers at the lowest possible level.
SUCCESS DEMANDS SIX (6) THINGS:
1. Hard Work (don't believe in luck; believe in hard work)
2. Patience (if you're losing the patience, then you're losing the battle)
3. Sacrifice (if you don't sacrifice for what you want, then what you want becomes the sacrifice)
4. Consistency (consistency is what transforms average into excellence)
5. Discipline (motivation gets you going but discipline keeps you growing)
6. Self-Confidence (confidence is I'll be fine if they don't like me)
